Cat adoption in Devon

Could you provide a loving new home for one of our cat or kittens? During the process of adopting a cat from us, we’ll consider everything from your potential pet’s personality and how this fits with your lifestyle, to your home environment – creating the perfect match for both cat and owner and the start of a wonderful feline friendship.

Cats available for adoption from Devon Cat Centre are featured below. To express your interest in a particular cat, please enquire via their listing. If you have any general enquiries about your suitability, or the adoption process, please call us on: 01395 232 377 or email us.

For applications through the website we will give you a call to discuss the cat in more detail, you will be advised of any health or behavioural concerns. If you like the sound of the cat and are happy to proceed with the adoption then you’ll then be offered an appointment to come and meet the cat.

Alternatively, you can call or email us to arrange an appointment to come in to meet either particular cats or any cats which are suitable when you visit.

If you are in rented accommodation we will require a copy of your permission to keep pets at the property before a cat meet can take place. We will also need to see proof of address for all properties before a cat can be adopted - this can be a utility bill or driving licence etc.

All cats adopted from us will be health checked, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and come with 4 weeks free Petplan insurance. Our adoption fee for adult cats is £85 and kittens under 6 months of age are £105.

The adoption process from enquiry to collection of your new cat can take as little as a couple of days but should not be longer than 7 - 10 days so please ensure you are ready to adopt when enquiring.

You can find out more about adopting a cat from Cats Protection here.
