Name:
Freya & Brulee
Location:
Framlingham & Saxmundham
Through no fault of their own this gorgeous pair, Brulee and Freya have been with us since April 2024, which is way too long, and they are longing for their own home together.
Brulee and Freya are approx 18 months old, and they come from the same household, not siblings, just very good friends. For this reason we want them to be homed together. They lived in a remote rural area along a track, and have little road sense. They have been neutered and are vaccinated and micro chipped.
They are both gentle loving cats who have never scratched or bitten. Brulee is a real softy, a very easy going laid back boy who is happy to be picked up and cuddled. Freya is likely to be a bit timid with new people until she knows you. She prefers a head rub rather than cuddles, but she is much more playful, and loves having a game with us. They are really gorgeous natured cats who will make wonderful companions. They deserve to find their own special home very soon.
There are two special requirements we are looking for in an adopter:
1. To be able to give Brulee his meds when needed, and
2. To live somewhere very rural, well away from busy roads, ideally with access to fields or at least a large garden.
Brulee has had two bouts of facial dermatitis during this year, sore places between his ears and eyes, that he then scratches and makes worse. Our vets think it could be an allergy or caused by stress, as he, apparently, didn't suffer from it whilst in his original home. It is not contagious. We now have a treatment that works and he is an absolute angel at accepting the meds. We could show you how we do it. It is quite possible that once Brulee is in a home and has his freedom, this problem will not reoccur. However, Cats Protection is prepared to pay for the continued cost of treatment for this condition after adoption.
