Volunteer at Cats Protection Berkshire Cat Centre
Without volunteers, Cats Protection Newbury Adoption Centre simply wouldn't exist. Our amazing, friendly volunteers are a diverse group with a shared love of cats who fit volunteering around their home lives and personal commitments.
We're often looking to welcome new volunteers to join our brilliant team. As well as meeting great people and making an incredible difference to the cats of Newbury, you'll enjoy practical benefits such as discounted pet insurance.
Full training and support will be given for all roles and there will be an informal interview process, including references and a bit of online learning.
If you would like further information on any of the roles below or to request an application form, it would be great to hear from you!
Please get in touch with Andrea at volunteering@newbury.cats.org.uk or call 01635 200111
Cat Care Volunteers
Our cat care volunteers are part of a fantastic team that look after and meet the needs of the cats whilst they are in our care. This is a great role for cat lovers, as volunteers get to spend time directly with cats whilst cleaning their pens.
When and where: 9-11am, Fridays weekly or Saturdays fortnightly at our centre in Curridge near Thatcham.
We ask that you are as passionate about feline welfare as we are and happy to do some online learning to support the role.
Fundraising Volunteering Roles
Our Fundraising Volunteers are an amazing team who help to raise vital funds so that we can continue to help cats and kittens in need.
Fundraising Events Organisers
Our Fundraising Events Organisers use their passion for cats and people and have the exciting role of helping plan and deliver events such as Open Days at our centre and our Christmas Bazaars. If you have good organisational and interpersonal skills, like planning and would enjoy being part of a fun and welcoming team, this could be just the role for you!
We also need help at the events themselves and are recruiting for:
Fundraising Events Helpers
Our Fundraising Events Helpers have the varied role of helping at local fundraising events such as Centre Open Days, Jumble Sales and Christmas Bazaars. This role can be flexible and you could be involved behind the scenes with set up and take down or in a more public facing way by helping to run a stall at events.
Whatever you do to support an event will be a great help to raising funds for the cats!
Please note; Although we do welcome everyone, unfortunately our Adoption Centre is not set up to accommodate young volunteers (under the age of 18), including those on the Duke of Edinburgh programme.
However, do please follow the links below to find out if there are any other suitable Cats Protection volunteering opportunities near you:
