Maverick was reported to us as a stray by a member of the public. He seemed to have an injured paw and couldn't put weight on it. When having a thorough exam with our vet, the decision was made that Maverick would need to have his toe removed as it had a large mass. Maverick has since had his operation and is a lot more comfortable. Maverick was also found to be FIV positive. Despite his rough start, Maverick thankfully let his love for chin scratches be known and has settled well into the centre. He is enjoying his home comforts and attention from our employees and volunteers. He seems to be very busy some nights and will move his beds and toys around when we leave. His favourite activity is sitting in his cardboard box.
