Homing a cat from Stafford Branch
All of our cats and kittens are examined by a vet and have at least the first part of their vaccination against, flu, enteritis; leukaemia and Chlamydia, treatment for fleas and worms, micro chipped and in the case of older cats are neutered before being rehomed.
As you can imagine this costs the Branch a large sum of money and we do therefore kindly ask adopters for an adoption fee.
With effect from 1 April 2024 the fees will be
Cats 6 months and over adoption fee of £85
Kittens under 6 months adoption fee of £105
If you feel able to make a donation on top of that fee, that would, of course, be gratefully received.
Not every cat will suit your specific environment, we carry out a home check to make sure we find you a cat that fits your circumstances.
Home visits also give you a chance to ask questions.
We do not have a central cattery.
All our cats are cared for by dedicated volunteer fosterers in purpose built cat units. These Units have heated living quarters with a weatherproof run.
Some fosterers care for cats in their own homes and this is usually where we place kittens or elderly or timid cats. Finding themselves in a rescue situation can often be quite traumatic for the cats and Fosterers can spend many hours with nervous or sick cats regaining their trust in order for them to be rehomed.
