Our vision for volunteering

Volunteering is and always will be at the heart of Cats Protection. It is joyful and inclusive. As a charity, working in partnership, together we transform the lives of cats, people and communities.

The difference you will make to cats and people

Our publicity team leaders have the important role of supporting a wider team of publicity volunteers. As a team our publicity volunteers collectively keep members of the public informed of the vital and varied ways we help our cats in need. Raising awareness is crucial to us being able to help the thousands of cats and kittens each year that rely on us. A higher profile can help raise funds, raise awareness of adopting a cat, promote neutering and encourage as many people as possible to learn about feline welfare.

A bit more information about this role and the team

Our Manchester branch are looking for a Publicity Team Leader who can help showcase the amazing work work that the branch does via its social media channel and website.  Shaping this positive PR for the branch will allow supporters to see how their contributions help us with our work and also help us with our rehoming efforts for the cats in our care.

This is an exciting role and will be paramount in showing all the amazing work that is happening within the branch.  If you want a better world for cats and can see our vision then this could be the role for you.  This role is best suited to someone who has experience with social media as our branch has its own Facebook page that contains educational posts about all things cat care, as well as wonderful stories about cats we have helped along the way.  It also plays a key role when it comes to posting cats we have up for adoption.  The ideal candidate for this role would also have computer skills in publisher or similar in order to help with the production of branch newsletters.

This role is remote and full training will be provided.  It is a brilliant opportunity for someone to showcase their skills, add something to their CV and make a real difference to cats in the area.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with any questions, as we would be happy to help answer those for you.
