In 2023, we supported the neutering of 157,000 cats and kittens, including 12,000 feral cats. Contact your local Cats Protection team to find out if we can help with the cost of neutering your cat.

Help may be available for those who:
Neutering your cat is a fairly quick operation and your vet will likely ask you to drop your cat off in the morning and collect them later the same day.
Your cat will have a general anaesthetic, and they may also come home with some pain relief medication.
Your vet may recommend microchipping if your cat is not microchipped by the time they are neutered. We recommend all cats are microchipped and this is now the law in England (since June 2024)
Do you take your animals to a PDSA PetAid hospital? We work closely with PDSA to support low cost neutering for the cats of owners on a qualifying benefit through their PetAid hospitals. Please visit the PDSA website to find your nearest hospital.
C4 is the jointly funded spay and neuter programme for cats in the London region.
The scheme enables cat owners who live inside the M25 ring and receive qualifying benefits or low incomes the opportunity to have their cats neutered and microchipped for £10 via their network of partner vets in London.
Please visit the C4 website to learn more about the scheme and to find your closest participating vet.
