Welcome to Cats Protection Aberystwyth & District Branch

The Aberystwyth & District branch is run by a small but dedicated group of cat-loving volunteers working to improve the lives of cats in the Ceredigion area.

We do not have an adoption centre or dedicated cattery, instead fosterers take cats into their homes or have outside pens in which to care for homeless cats until loving new homes can be found.

We’re passionate about improving the lives of cats and kittens, working to find loving new homes for local cats in our care, offering support with neutering, and lost and found cats, as well as general education and awareness within our area.

Cat adoption in Aberystwyth

Could you provide a loving new home for a cat in Aberystwyth?

During the process of adopting a cat from us, we’ll consider everything from your potential pet’s personality and how this fits with your lifestyle, to your home environment – creating the perfect match for both cat and owner and the start of a wonderful feline friendship.

Please note, if you live in rented accommodation we need to see a copy of the pet section of your tenancy agreement, or a letter from your landlord stating how many pets you can have at your home. We ask that as soon as you are thinking about adopting that you request this information, before you enquire about a cat or kitten.  We will need to see the tenancy agreement or the letter.  Please only apply for a cat if you are the registered homeowner or tenant of the property.

Our adoption fee is £95 for kittens (less than 6 months old), £75 for an adult cat. This includes a vet check, 1st vaccinations, flea and worm treatment and neutering.

Cats available for adoption from Cats Protection Aberystwyth & District Branch are featured below.

To express your interest in a particular cat, please enquire via their listing. If you have any general enquiries about your suitability, or the adoption process, please call us on: 01970 822 120 or email us at adoption@aberystwyth.cats.org.uk
