Cat adoption in Frome and District

Are you looking to provide a loving new home for a cat in Frome and District? We have cats in need of a new home ready for adoption now. Some have been rescued by us and are being fostered by Frome & District volunteers in their own homes, these cats can be viewed below. Some cats don't come into our care but are rehomed directly on a home-to-home basis. View cats in home-to-home category.

During the process of adopting a cat from us, we’ll consider everything from your potential cat’s personality and how this fits with your lifestyle, to your home environment – creating the perfect match for both cat and owner and the start of a wonderful feline friendship. Some cats are a great fit if you have children and/or other pets. Other cats need lots of space so if you live in a rural environment it would be ideal for them. And if you think that living in a flat means you're not able to adopt a cat then you may be in for surprise as we often have cats who need an indoor-only home for a number of reasons.

Cats available for adoption from Cats Protection Frome & District Branch are featured below. To express your interest in a particular cat, please enquire via their listing. If you have any general enquiries about your suitability, or the adoption process, please contact: 07733 390 345 or email adoption@frome.cats.org.uk, it might take a while as most of us work, but we will get back to you.

Older cats
We would ask that you give serious consideration to adopting an older cat as they can often be with us for prolonged periods. Older cats can be bewildered if they have lost their home after many years, so they can be especially appreciative of a loving new home where they can enjoy companionship again.

What is included in the adoption fee?

  • Vet-checked
  • Treated for fleas and worms
  • Vaccinated
  • Microchipped
  • Neutered (or a voucher provided for free neutering when they are old enough)
  • 4 weeks free PetPlan insurance

The adoption fee is £85 per cat and £105 per kitten.

We also facilitate direct home-to-home adoptions - find out more..
