Our cats are not based at a central location - all cats and kittens within our care are looked after by fosterers, pending a suitable home being found.

Cat adoption in Glasgow

Could you provide a loving new home for a cat in Glasgow? During the process of adopting a cat from us, we’ll consider everything from your potential pet’s personality and how this fits with your lifestyle, to your home environment – creating the perfect match for both cat and owner and the start of a wonderful feline friendship.

Cats available for adoption from Cats Protection Glasgow Branch are featured below. To express your interest in a particular cat, please enquire via their listing. If we feel you could be a good match, we'll contact you to discuss the cat's history and medical status, and to further talk about your suitability. Potential adopters will then need to agree to a virtual or in-person home visit by one of our team. If this is successful, you'll be sent the adoption paperwork to complete. We'll support you through the process and follow up with you in the days and weeks after your new cat has gone home, to see how they are settling in.

Please note, if you live in rented accommodation, we require written permission from your council/landlord to keep a cat. We would recommend having this in place before applying.

Our adoption fees are £100 for an adult cat and £120 for a kitten.

If you have any general enquiries about your suitability, or the adoption process, please call us on: 0345 371 2722 or email us
