OUR ADOPTION FEE IS CURRENTLY £80 BUT DUE TO A HIGH INCREASE IN VETERINARY CARE AND FOOD FOR CATS IN CARE WE WILL BE INCREASING THE ADOPTION FEE TO:-
£100 PER KITTEN
£90 FOR AN ADULT
This will be effective from 1st January 2025.
THIS FEE IS VERY COMPETITIVE AND INCLUDES VACCINATIONS, CHIPPING, FLEA/WORM TREATMENT AND NEUTERING IF NOT ALREADY DONE.
**WE WILL PAY FOR ANY VETERINARY COSTS FOR ANY AGE RELATED ILLNESS IN THE OLDER CATS IN OUR CARE IF KNOWN BEFORE BEING ADOPTED OUT. THIS WILL BE MENTIONED IN THEIR WRITE UPS**
NOTE REGARDING DIRECT HOMINGS - Can we inform you that anyone taking on a Direct Homing from our site has no input from Cats Protection other than advertising for the current owner to help them rehome their cat(s).
In the event that anything goes wrong with the homing either with medical issues or behaviour then you MUST go back to the original owner to rectify this. It is NOT the responsibility of Cats Protection to sort out any issues. A Direct Homing is between the original owner and the potential new owner to sort. We are merely offering a free service to advertise the cat on our site.
If you are struggling to pay for neutering of your cat/kitten or on a low income/benefits please get in contact and we may be able to help you with a part paid voucher to help with the cost. The vouchers are worth £45 for a male and £70 for a female. The balance is paid by yourself to your own vet.
The voucher price may fully cover the cost of neutering depending on your chosen vet.
Having your cat microchipped is now the law since June 10th 2024.
