Cat adoption in Stoke and Newcastle

Could you provide a loving new home for a cat in Stoke and Newcastle? During the process of adopting a cat from us, we’ll consider everything from your potential pet’s personality and how this fits with your lifestyle, to your home environment – creating the perfect match for both cat and owner and the start of a wonderful feline friendship.

Adoption process

  • Enquire. If you’ve found a cat on our website that you’re interested in homing, please fill in the form below the cat, or send an email to adoption@stoke.cats.org.uk, or ring 07783 838657
  • Homing phone call. If you’re found to be a match for your chosen cat, you’ll be contacted via phone or email. You may be asked for proof of your address and the consent of your landlord (if you live in a rented property).
  • Reserving your cat. Once speaking to the homing team you will be given a fosterers number, give them a text or call to arrange a visit to meet you cat, and hopefully reserve them! This is also the best time to ask the fosterer any questions you have about the cat, what they eat, their litter, habits & likes.
  • Adopt. Once you have reserved your cat, you’ll be sent paperwork to sign. You’ll then pay an adoption fee of £105 (for kittens under 6 months) and £85 (for adults), by bank transfer.

  • Bringing your cat home. Once this is finalised you and the cat fosterer will organise a date for adoption.

Every cat in our care receives a vet health check, will be neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and given flea and worm treatment.

Please remember we are all volunteers and many of us have work or family commitments so we may not always be available right away, but someone will be in touch.
